WHAT IS COASTONLINE?
In the Beginning...
Coastonline began its life in 2005 as a community noticeboard for the Sunshine Coast Community and has later been extended to service other
communities Australia wide. It was originally designed to allow people to share and trade information with each other but over time has
grown to become much more.
What is Coastonline all about?
Coastonline believes in the spirit of Community. As such, we are dedicated towards supporting social prosperity,
social growth, togetherness and relationship building. We believe in giving everybody a fair go and are
opposed to any form of anti-social activity.
The Coastonline website connects people through allowing you to have your say, introducing you to friends,
helping you setup an interest group, growing your business and so much more. The list is endless and is growing
more each day. We are always working towards new ways of getting people together and to bring about
connected and happier communities.
We do support business interests when the business is considered to be supportive of the community.
Coastonline holds traditional values and we believe that a business needs to provide a much needed
service to its community and follow the rule of, a good days work for a good days pay.

How can I get involved?
If you would like to be part of our Community then all you need to do is register an account and become actively
involved with us. Its that easy. Write articles, submit social events, engage in our forum discussions and
join in with whats happening.
The only rules are that we promote social behaviour. This means no swearing, no abuse, no put downs or personal
attacks on anybody. We only ask that you please consider others as you use this site.

I'm scared. I've never done this sort of thing before. What if people don't like what I write?
Someone always has a chip on their shoulder about something. Whilst its easy that we concern ourselves
with what others think, we mostly need to consider what we think. If you believe in something strongly
enough then what does it really matter?
At the end of the day, we aren't a professional newspaper expecting the highest quality content for the
world to see. It is our aim to open up communities and to give people a voice. We believe its more
important to be heard, than to be politically correct about what you say. People are losing their
freedom more and more each day. We don't care if your right or wrong, just so long as you get the
chance to be heard.

Can I help improve this site? What if I have an idea or come across a problem?
Absolutely. Just jump in. We ask that you'd treat this website as if it where your own. Feel free to throw
your ideas forward for discussion, post them in the forums or other. If the ideas good then
we'll add it to our programmers todo list and it will becmoe a permanent part of the website. We
are always looking for ways to improve and to help connect the community. This site is dependent
on the community to help it grow.
